I dream of passionate embraces,
The joy of seeing my love,
As though we have just met,
A delicate touch and look that tells me,
I am desirable and desired in her eyes.
I dream of testing my creativity,
Of letting my raw discoveries take flight,
Unfettered, unhurt by disdain,
Free to soar to the stars.
I dream of helping others discover their potential,
In ways they never dreamed,
In ways I would like for myself.
I dream of capturing the essence of humanity,
In the photograph of a child’s face,
I dream of watching my children dance,
In loving freedom abandon,
Happy to invite me to dance with their children.
I dream of sharing ideas excitedly,
Gently stretching my bounds one minute,
Curling up in relaxed comfort the next,
Secure that my landing will be safe,
To muse on stories and learnings with my friends.
I dream of making my love laugh,
Of touching her hair and feeling the warmth,
Of comfortable intimacy,
Of making love adventurously,
Giving myself to her pleasure,
Of unconditionally receiving without fear,
Feeling safe in her arms.
I dream of financial comfort for myself and my family,
To be free of bills, worry and time,
To work passionately for love of what I do,
To be well rewarded for the gifts I give, the energy I bring,
To be unconditionally generous,
In my heart and soul and pockets.
I want to smile uncontrollably,
Cheekily delighting in life’s wonders,
Like a wide eyed little boy,
Who has just jumped over his first puddle unaided.
I want to be strong, dependable and caring,
I want to say the wrong things by mistake,
Be able to apologise and feel okay,
I want to know I have made a positive difference,
Learned how to give with joy, lived in love,
And most of all,
I want to laugh when I die.
